Recently I proposed a method to determine what RNA or mRNA cloned cells use to extend their telomeres. I haven&#8217;t gotten a any real response so I thought I would post the question here.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<div dir=\"LTR\" id=\":6x.f\" role=\"textbox\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">The thought is simple, every time a cell is cloned its <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Telomere\" target=\"_blank\">telomeres<\/a> must be getting longer. Something in the egg cell is causing the extension of the telomeres.That something must be either <a href=\" http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Telomerase\" target=\"_blank\">telomerase<\/a> or one or more pieces of mRMA. The fact that we have been able to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eurekalert.org\/pub_releases\/2013-03\/r-jrs030613.php\" target=\"_blank\">clone 25 successive generations of mice<\/a>, and make <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sciencenews.org\/view\/generic\/id\/350432\/description\/Cloning_produces_human_embryonic_stem_cells\" target=\"_blank\">pluripotent stem cells via cloning<\/a> seems to point to telomere extension.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Recently a <\/span><a style=\"font-size: medium;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nanowerk.com\/news2\/biotech\/newsid=31189.php\" target=\"_blank\">technique to sequence the RNA in individual cells was developed.\u00a0<\/a><\/div>\n<div dir=\"LTR\" role=\"textbox\"><a style=\"font-size: medium;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nanowerk.com\/news2\/biotech\/newsid=31189.php\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/>\n<\/a><strong style=\"font-size: medium;\">Now the question<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u00a0&#8211; How difficult would it be to determine which mRNA fragments in egg cells are causing the telomere extension?<\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"LTR\" role=\"textbox\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"LTR\" role=\"textbox\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"LTR\" role=\"textbox\">\n<div><a tabindex=\"-1\" href=\"https:\/\/plus.google.com\/u\/0\/photos\/108971911025874242115\/albums\/5905380502357328145\/5905380505363767634?authkey=CKnij4-QwKWS-AE\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/-Ta7jVkBQrF4\/UfQgSBW5YVI\/AAAAAAAAE-s\/ktI5ZoAXE6E\/w426-h329\/Telomere2.png\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is for the Geneticists, Bio-Geeks, and the synthetic biology crowd.
